The greatest healing therapy is friendship! Tiffany shows that by building a relationship with her clients and getting to know them as friends and not just clients! Thank you so much, Tiffany!!” –Lauren, Tiffany’s Manager
Tell us a little about yourself: I’m originally from Nebraska. Thirty-two years ago, we moved
to Syracuse, Indiana. I’m a Cornhusker at heart, even though I have now made my home
in Indiana. Once a Husker, always a Husker!
Now, I have two grown daughters and two sons-in-law. My youngest daughter gave me
my first grandson twelve years ago. He’s now in the sixth grade and plays football and
basketball, and I really enjoy going to his games. My oldest daughter lives in Wisconsin
with my other two grandchildren.
I’m also a people person and enjoy helping and taking care of people.
What do you do for Firefly? I take care of disabled or elderly people in their homes with
daily activities like cooking and cleaning, and sometimes with hygiene. I work part-time,
about twenty-five to thirty hours a week. Most of my shifts are day shifts, but I work a
combination of days, evenings, and weekends.

How long have you worked for Firefly, and what did you do before becoming a
caregiver? I’ve worked at Firefly for about seven months. Prior to this, I was an activities
aide with two different companies.
Share a bit about some of your clients: On gal is ninety-five years old, and I worked with
her for about six months until just recently when she moved into a nursing home. She is
spry, spunky, and very independent. She liked to work on puzzles, go shopping in town,
and take long walks in the neighborhood. Another gentleman I see is in his seventies. He
and I go for long walks or to the workout room. He enjoys playing Wii bowling, and he’s
really good at it. He’s taught me a few things!

What are a few of your favorite things? I enjoy nature and boating on Lake Wawasee. I
love to travel, especially road trips. One road trip I’m hoping to go on soon is to
Wisconsin—I have a new granddaughter who was born just this week!
The son of one of Tiffany’s clients had this to say about the care she provided: Tiffany
was very thoughtful and kind to my mother. They worked together on puzzles, and
sometimes they went out to eat. She was a very good companion for my mom, and my
mom really liked her.
